At Rowan, we believe safety is paramount. We’re the first and only brand prioritizing ear piercing as a medical procedure, providing ear piercing by nurses only with hypoallergenic earrings always.
“Ear piercing is such a unique combination of medical procedure and self-expression. Acutely aware of the relationship between facial appearance and self-confidence, Rowan has partnered with NextGenFace, an organization dedicated to serving children with complex facial differences. Together, we aim to help these children lead confident, healthy lives,” says Dr. Charles Thorne, Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Lenox Hill and Manhattan, Eye, Ear and Throat Hospitals.
NextGenFace helps to ease the tremendous burden placed on families with children with craniofacial conditions by assisting them in identifying a comprehensive and coordinated approach to treatment.
“Craniofacial anomalies are a highly diverse group of complex congenital abnormalities. [...] The diverse needs of a child with a craniofacial condition frequently require specialists in the field of reconstructive surgery, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, oral, and maxillofacial surgery, psychology, speech therapy, audiology and nutrition.” ( NextGenFace)
NextGenFace’s approach to treatment goes beyond surgical recommendations. The organization provides financial aid for expenses not covered by insurance (including housing & transportation), identifies mental health practitioners to provide a 360 approach to treatment, and promotes education and public awareness of facial differences.
With the opening of each new Rowan studio, we donate a portion of the first week’s proceeds to NextGenFace, contributing to their vital work in connecting patients with top medical, surgical, and psychosocial experts tailored to their specific needs.
Through our collaboration, we hope to increase awareness of craniofacial conditions and the challenges faced by individuals living with them. Together, we strive to alleviate the burdens on affected families, offer hope, and ensure access to the highest quality of care and support.
